Betting
Everyone bets differently in playing N/L Texas Holdem. I had trouble with my betting until I started doing shadowing sessions, after doing many shadowing sessions I started getting a grasp on betting. In having a good hand pre-flop, i have learned in betting 3x the big blind + one big blind for each limper; in doing this I have seen that not as many players will stay in too see the flop. For betting the flop through the river it has came to my attention that betting 1/3, 2/3, or 4/3 of the pot depending is the most comfortable bet at the time will show the players at the table of how serious you are about the way you play; usually a bet of 2/3 of the pot will be sufficient most of the time. In betting 2/3 of the pot that is usually a nice size bet to play and usually there will be fewer players that stay in the hand. Although, i change my betting style from time to time so that players do not pick up on my style of playing, in doing this new players that you do not play against very often will not suspet anything and the players you play against often will either be afrais or curious in the style in which you are playing. I think changing betting styles weekly is a good idea, although it would be better to have about three differnt types of betting styles to have and change them from time to time.
